MURDER IN SANDHILL At about 11:55am on 24/6/08, upon information received, Ladyville Police visited an area behind Sylvia’s Cool Spot in Sandhill Village, where the lifeless body of Dorla PITTERSON, 45yrs, domestic of 19miles Northern highway, Sandhill village, Belize District was found lying in a crunch position in a toilet hole covered with card board. The body of the deceased was found partially nude with blood to the nose and mouth and a swollen right forehead. Initial investigation revealed that about 9:30pm on the 23/6/08, Dorla PITTERSON was seen in the company of one Orlando WADE behind the cool spot where she was screaming for help. As a result, Police have since detained Orlando WADE, 30yrs, Belizean laborer of 19 miles Northern Highway pending investigations. BURGLARY MS. JOYCELYN CODD, 44yrs, of Seashore Drive, Driftwood Bay, Belize City, reported, that between the hours of 9:00pm on the 23/6/08 and 6:30 am on the 24/6/08 her three story concrete building was burglarized. Stolen there from are:- (1) khaki purse containing a wallet with $900.00 in check, $1,700.00 in cash, (1) Alliance Bank Cheque book, (1) Belize Bank credit card, (1) drivers license, (2) US social security Card belonging to Breanne Codd and Robert Codd, (1) nokia cellular phone with calling number 610-2266, (1) blue Motorola cellular phone with calling number 670-4995, (2) US passport belonging to her daughter Breanne Codd, (5) Belizean passport belonging to Joycelyn, Breanne, Robert, Francis Codd and Winston Cabral, (1) blue Bratz brand 18” ladies bicycle and (1) purple Murray bicycle, all to a total value of $4,300.00. The scene was visited and processed by police where it was observed that entry was gained by damaging a window on the second floor of building. Police investigation continues and reminds the public that it is an offense to be in possession of stolen items. PE4 EXPLOSIVES, FIREARM/AMMUNITION Acting upon information received, on the 23/6/08 at 10:30 am Police visited a residence situated at #60 corner Plues and Berkley Street, Belize City. Upon arrival they met GENEVIEVE MILLIGAN, NIKI PINKARD, and LESLIE GILLET, who were informed by the police of the execution of a search warrant. The search was conducted in the presence of all occupants; which led the to discovery of (1) Black and rusty Maverick Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun (bearing serial number MV72616H) along with (2) live round of 12 gauge cartridges and a black plastic bag containing (1) green smoke screening grenade (number 07-06-415), (3) Electrical Detonators, (5) None Electrical Detonators, (17) Electrical Safety Fuse, (2) Tube of P.E.4 Explosive and 20 feet of Safety Fuse that was under a cabinet in the kitchen of said residence. The items found was then shown to all three occupants and informed of the offense committed, they were then escorted to the police station. Reference report of Unlicensed Explosive, Firearm and Ammunition made on the 24/6/08, police formally arrested and charged GENEVIEVE MILLIGAN, 31yrs, Food Vendor of #60 corner Plues and Berkley Street, NIKI PINKARD, 23yrs, of #60 corner Plues and Berkley Street, and LESLIE GILLET, 22yrs, Construction worker of Burrell Boom Village, Belize City for the offenses of “Kept Unlicensed firearm, Kept Unlicensed Ammunition and Kept Unlicensed Explosives”. ARREST: Reference report made on the 14/6/08, in respect of an Attempt Suppression of Evidence, police formally arrested and charged FRANCIS PARHAM MILLER, 19yrs, Mason of #233 Mahogany Heights, Belize District for the crimes of “Attempt Suppression of Evidence”. CAYO POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION: On Tuesday 24/6/08, between the hours of 1:30pm to 3:00pm, a postmortem examination was conducted at the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital by Dr. Mario Estradaban on the lifeless body of Oscar Tzib, 36yrs, Labourer of Santa Elena Town on Santa Cruz Road. At the conclusion of the P.M doctor certify the cause of death is Cardiac Embolism Pulmonary Transfusion chromic alcoholism. REPORT: (Unlawful Carnal Knowledge) A 16 year old minor of San Ignacio Town reported she had sex at the age of 15 with one Caesar Romero, in the month of September 2007 which has resulted in pregnancy. Caesar has separated from her and every time he meets her he harasses the complainant. REPORT: (Unlawful Carnal Knowledge) A 14 year old minor of Esperanza Village visited the San Ignacio Police Station on 23/6/08 at 12:40pm, in the company of her mother, gave a report against Gabino Garnett and Jermaine Garnett whom she alleged had sex with her during the months of October 2007 and December 2007 which has resulted in pregnancy. Both are father and son and had sex with her whilst she was living in a house in the care of Gabino’s wife. A medical examination was done which certified that the minor is pregnant. Police are looking for the suspects and continue to investigate. |
