Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crispin Jeffries, joined the Belize Police Force on 25th June 1973 as a Police Band recruit. He rose steadily through the ranks to Assistant Commissioner a post he holds since 2005. Having served for almost 34 years and slated to retire within the next two years, ACP Jeffries shows no signs of waning. Quite to the contrary, he is involved in all aspects of policing from Fleet Management to Public Order Management, Command and Control, Training, Community Policing and yes even carpentry. ACP Jeffries currently holds the post of Commander, Police Operations and is posted at the Police eadquarters in Belmopan, with responsibility for operations nationwide. 

He previously held the post of Commander, Eastern Police Division, Commander, Community Policing, Director Training, management services among others. He is actively involved in Community Policing and was a very integral part of the founding committee for the Yabra Community Development Program in Belize City. 

ACP Jeffries vision is for highly trained officers with the capacity to respond to any situation within minimum time. He also is involved in the drafting of several policy documents that seeks to ensure that all members of the department are fully aware of what is expected of them in times of disaster or civil unrest and in challenging times when communication or directives from those in authority may not be possible. In short ACP Jeffries can best be described as the Jack of all trade and master of many.
