Police Information Technology Unit, Mario Alcoser, Insp.
On behalf of the staff of the Police I.T. Unit, I would like to welcome you to the Belize Police Department’s World Wide Web site
As is becoming tradition and a hallmark of our pubescent IT Unit (within a short time span) we are offering efficient support services to the department and now to the community since its inception in 2003. With our implementation of the Department’s Web site, we hope to enhance the public’s knowledge of police operations and to make the police department a more open and accessible entity.
As we move into the twenty-first century, PITU - while not forgetting the illustrious traditions of the BPD, is taking innovative strides in technology to stay current with the concerns of the department and by extension the community it serves.
We invite you to browse through all of the police department’s organization, acquainting yourself with your police department. You will also notice that we have provided you with the opportunity to communicate with its members using e-mail. Please feel free to express any questions or concerns you may have.
You will find all manner of information about the BPD on this website along with opportunities to tap into its many resources offered. By exploring this website you might discover a new way of helping your family or community avoid becoming victims of crime, or you may find a way to help us do our job a little better.
We can't do it alone – the BPD needs your help to stamp out crime and make this nation safer place to be so that we can all enjoy living here without fear of crime or criminals.
Whatever the outcome, have some fun exploring your website - after all, we are your Police.
