ORANGE WALK DISTRICT

ARREST

In reference to the fatal road traffic accident on 13th September 2013; on 21st October 2013 at 12:00pm, Police arrested and charged Hector David BOBADILLA, 36 year old Belizean Machine Operator of San Antonio Village, with (1) Manslaughter by Negligence, (2) Causing death by Careless Conduct, (3) Drove Motor Vehicle without due care and attention, and (4) Failure to report an accident.

BELIZE DISTRICT

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

In reference to the traffic accident reported on the Hattieville/Boom Road, dated 12th October 2013, on 19th October 2013, 31 year old Fabian MARTINEZ, Tour Guide of Barrack Road - Belize City, succumbed to his injuries. On 21st October 2013, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Fabian MARTINEZ which certified the cause of death to be Acute Pulmonary Edema, Multiple head injuries as a result of road traffic accident.

CATTLE THEFT

On Saturday, 12th October 2013, at about 9:30am, 74 year old Bruno SUTHERLAND, of Central American Boulevard - Belize City, visited the Bermudian Landing Police Station and reported that he went to his farm located in Rancho Dolores Village where he noticed that two of his bulls had been killed. One was white in color, weighed about 2,000 pounds and valued at $1,500.00Bcy while the other was black in color, weighed about 2,000 pounds and valued at $3000.00Bcy. Both heads were found on the farm by the owner. Police investigations continue.

BELMOPAN CITY

FOUND PROPERTY

At 3:45pm on 21st October 2013, Police conducted a search on an empty lot, on St. Peter Street - Belmopan City, which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing 127.8 grams of suspected cannabis. No one was found in the area and the item was deposited as Found Property.

STANN CREEK DISTRICT

FURTHER REPORT

In reference to the Grievous Harm report in Silk Grass, sent on 26th September 2013; at 4:40pm on 20th October 2013, 40 year old George MORGAN, of Silk Grass Village, succumbed to his injuries while at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Police investigations continue.

TOLEDO DISTRICT

DRUG TRAFFICKING

At about 11:05am, on 21st October 2013, Police conducted a search on a passenger bus on the Punta Gorda/San Antonio Road which led to the discovery of a purple and black Everest knapsack which contained two black plastic bag containing 273 grams of suspected cannabis. Police have since arrested and charged a 16 year old minor of Colombia Village, Toledo District with Drug Trafficking.

POSTMORTEM EXAMINATION

At about 2:40pm, on 21st October 2013, a postmortem examination was conducted on Juan Carlos TZALAM, 23 year old Guatemalan, who reportedly fell off a bicycle while riding downhill in the Village of Silver Creek, on the evening of 17th October 2013. The cause of death was certified to be Blood clot to the heart due to brain hemorrhage, head trauma as a consequence of road traffic accident.
